SOLVED Intel HD4000 macOS Monterey 12.6 - Laptop's internal display not working, External monitor is working - Dell inspiron 15R SE ( 7520)

is that the separate guide , the previous guide is instructing to follow?

I have been following the above guide for further configuring. However, I stuck at "ACPI -> Patch" section. Guide mentions 6 Patches , which one should i use?

And also, i couldn't name the Table Signature as DSDT , since it's expecting a Hexadecimal value.
Please advice me , specifically for my hardware and target OS of Monterey.

Intel Core i5 3230M / Intel Ivy Bridge HM77 Series
Intel HD Graphics 4000 with AMD Radeon 7730M

Hi ,

I have been preparing the EFI as per the instructions mentioned in the guide you have provided. I've finished the things mentioned in the article "#post-7590 - Setting up config.plist" .

Then the next post "#post-7591 - Selecting a config.plist File" is confusing to me. It says


But there is no reference to the separate thread to follow up with. The guide links also not mentioned as per the attached screenshot.

Please advise me to go further from this.

You just need to USB Patches. So, two of them. The guides are being updated at the moment.

when i'm waiting for your reply , read the "Dortania's OC Guide" . and it's mentioned to use "SSDT-XOSI.aml" in ACPI-->Add & " Change _OSI to XOSI" in ACPI --> Patch.

can i use them?

And also i added the "Rename GFX0 to IGPU (Graphics)" in ACPI-->Patch , as mentioned in your guide. Please refer the attached images.

You can skip both of them for now.

And also , in DeviceProperties --> For 1366x768 screen resolution --> PciRoot(0)/Pci(0x1b,0) --> "layout-id" is mentioned as xx. But i need a integer value to add it to the config.plist

xx represents your layout id.

As mentioned above, you can skip all the renames for now. Just add the USB renames.

You can add it now but that's a postinstall task.
