I got it working on my LG Gram 17z990!! The Thunderbolt 3 controller used in this laptop is an Alpine Ridge JHL6340. Everything seems to be working correctly including: hotplug, hotplug after waking from sleep, USB-C devices, power delivery over USB-C. I have only tested with my UA Apollo Twin X, so it is possible other devices do not work correctly. I am attaching my SSDT, and I will post the necessary BIOS settings below:

F2 to get into BIOS settings
Ctrl-Alt-F7 to enter advanced menu

Settings:
  • Advanced
    • Intel Advanced Menu
      • Thunderbolt Configuration
        • Thunderbolt Boot Support => Pre-Boot ACL
        • Security Level => No Security
Note that on this laptop, any time the system powers off unexpectedly (force power off or kernel panic), you will have to re-enter these settings.

Looks like your post contradicts. You already mentioned that you have got it working, including HotPlug and USB Type-C. So, what do you mean by "it is possible other devices do not work correctly", do you test any other devices?

Do you mean the BIOS Settings?

Sorry for the confusion. I meant the Apollo Twin X is the only Thunderbolt 3 device I have tested (I do not own any others). I have tested multiple USB-C devices and they all work fine (iPhone, USB drive, etc.).

Do you mean the BIOS Settings?
Yes, this is referring to the BIOS settings.
