Very thanks,
So I managed install and the system boot correctly but now I had problem with GPU. The GPU apparently works because I had transparent windows and shows that I had graphics acceleration. But most of applications crash.
I tried o lot of tips etc like u will saw in my EFI and also try path SSDT-GPU-SPOOF with the information that I get on my linux (above).
Also when I open some application and check IOregister explorer in exact moment that app crash appears two redlines down the GFX0. On gfxUtil command (-f GFX0) I received this message: DevicePath not found!

Why are you even trying to spoof your GPU in the first place when your GPU is supported? Spoofing is not required in your case. If the system is restarting abruptly, it could be due to low VRAM, improper EFI or due to lack of a patch/kext.

Hello, sorry but I try a lot of things. Spooffing and don't spiffing, with nootedred and with whatevergreen. Unfortunately this EFI goes with this config that now I understand that does not matter. I don't know sufficiently to resolve and because this post here. I need a way to go and not criticism. The world it's very impatient with people that ask and try. I tried a lot of tutorials. Here was the first that help to build it and appreciate very much but I am keeping walking to made better. Now i don't solve GPU issues when I putt kext nootedred has 512 mb vram and transparent windows but apps crash and if I lived whatevergreen kext I had 7 Mb and some apps works but so slowly. Not it's easy neither a receipt and don't has anyone that made in this notebook Asus vivobook a1502. You can please give me directions to go?

Hello,

First of all, the post does not involve any kind of criticism at all. It's sad if you feel that way. No one is impatient here but it was mentioned what you probably did wrong. Anyways, coming to the solution, you need to do some tests and attach the results accordingly.

1. Use Windows and check how much VRAM is available. This can fix a lot of things in the process of debugging.
2. Attach the EFI you're using to boot the system.
3. Provide the Laptop link or mention the complete specs, BIOS version and also whether it has a single APU or dual GPU configuration.

Hello,

Sorry by my mistake in your comment, its hard work made it with first laptop with this configs.

My one its M1502 IA

In linux shows 512 VRAM but open all files and programs.

The AMD bios its very limited only that has significant its SVM that I lived on and fast boot that switch off. The bios version its 312 - Gop version 2.13.0.0.0

Its a single GPU, Renoir series that in web shows Vega 7 series with device ID 0x1636 (Hackintool).

In this config now I use Nootedred because whaevergreen freeze to much (butt open some apps). The actual config for me its better because Nootedred has acceleration to work faster (but keep crash a lot of apps). I think that has some wrong config iGPU (send report when the app crash). I used a lot of restricted boot args but nothing change. Also change Mac smbios names and anyone works good.

AMD Power Tool shows:

AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics
Family: 17h, Model: 06h
Physical: 8, Logical: 16
L1(Total): 512 KB, L2(Total): 4 MB, L3(Shared): 8 MB

Motherboard: M1502IA
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
Graphics: AMD Radeon Graphics
Memory: 12GB, Storage: 146GB

macOS Version: 12.7.2
AMDRyzenCPUPowerManagement:
Version: 0.7.1, CPU Supported: Yes

AMD Radeon GPU sensor app crash. And fan control option also crash sends warning: some systems allow complete control over SMC. Setting fan to zero or speed to low can cause damage....CHIP ID not supported.

The attachment has IOREG and EFI

It should be noted that macOS is way much different than other Operating Systems out there and therefore the requirements are different.

If the issue is about Application crash, that's very normal on AMD CPUs as its not natively supported. You'll need to patch the App for using it on an AMD CPUs. That's the only workaround for now.

Hello,

So, I think the topic it's about the GPU no ? You told me that my GPU it's supported but I think not .

I m try to solve and sender that you ask me. I don't compare systems butt just comment that the 512 vram confirmed in Linux.
The topic not about apps because I told you that whatevergreen works with apps but don't recognized the amount vram. And that nootedred has acelleration but when open windows apps crash without VM memory. You can helpe-me please? Or this GPU 1636:1002 doesn't supported yet?

VEGA 7 is supported using NootedRed.

512MB can work.

Do note that the driver is still under development and certain Apps may not work as expected. It's a limitation for now. BTW, which Apps are crashing?

Hello friend,

If you see the crashreport that published in other post, will know better the error. Its with VM memory its a error that happen with almost apps non apple that crash when open window to start. With WhateverG has 7mb vram and windows very slow but firefox (for example) open, I can search and suddenly crash. With Nooted I has acceleration, metal support, transparent menus but Firefox don't open and others too. The crash with VM memory out=0. I reset nvram nothing change. On Ioreg the lines above GPU becomes red with crash.

Thanks for attention!!!
