Can you update the profile correctly? The profile should contain the current hardware specs which you're seeking support for.

Also, for the display, what connection are you using?

My Profile had included all the Hacks that I have but just changed it to my Hack 2 in my Signature.
My Signature contains some more detailed specifics.

The Sapphire HD7770 has 4 ports: 2x Mini-DP, HDMI and DVI-D.
I am using Mini-DP to DP cable to a Dell 4K monitor (S2721QS).
I have tried all different connectors and makes no difference.

Could you try HDMI to HDMI Cable?

I remember having the same issue on some Core 2 Duo systems back in the old days. Maybe you can check in a newer system?

Tried that already.
Tried Mini-DP to HDMI adapter, HDMI to DP adapter, DVI-D to HDMI but nothing works.

It's definitely High Sierra drivers issue with this card - especially the accelerated drivers. I can boot into the High Sierra Recovery partition and that works fine (although not accelerated) and can even go through the whole process on screen to reinstall the OS. But once install is complete, first boot....black screen

Yeh I could try it on my Ivy Bridge system but that's tied up at the moment.

I flashed a UEFI GOP to the VBIOS as mentioned in the OC config guide. But that makes no difference as I guess the motherboard BIOS is not UEFI.

I have a work around but it's not ideal.
The work around is to use Sierra 10.12 drivers (attached).
It's not ideal. Two issues: (a) OS Updates kills these drivers (of course) and have to re-install them (via Screen share from another Mac). (b) quick view (in Finder) does not always work as the file contents are displayed as a red screen.

Ah well. Time to give up. High Sierra was used occasional for a couple of Apps that don't work in Catalina+

I was going to suggest that!

This is expected!

Quick Look was having issues on High Sierra.

Did you test it on Mojave?

Did you test it on Mojave?

Installed Mojave. Same issue. Well almost.
After reboot, there's a mouse pointer on the screen but no login screen.
Occasionally, mouse disappears.
Shared drives are available across the net.
SSH into the system works.

Installing Sierra drivers, helps but colours are screwed up.

Suffice to say this particular Sapphire HD7770 1GB Ghz Edition GPU does not work on High Sierra and Mojave.

It works with Catalina, Big Sur and Monterey.

Hey guys.

Quick question (noob here)

Can i keep Mojave and run RX6800 XT on it? I see on compatibility that it isn't supported, but is it natively or with whatevergreen and lilu?

I was two years not using my hackintosh, needed windows for a while, but upgrade from vega meanwhile. Did try yesterday, but I'm not sure if it's better to keep trying troubleshooting on mojave or try then to troubleshoot the compatibility of audio plugins that I use currently working in Mojave..

No, RX6800XT is supported on 11.4 and later.

Exactly. WEG and Lilu are mandatory

Mojave supports 32-bit applications. If you don't have 32-bit Applications use, better to upgrade to at least Big Sur.
