LIMITATIONS
  • Thunderbolt will normally work when enabled properly in BIOS/UEFI. However, for a HotPlug, a HotPlug SSDT implementation is required.
  • For unsupported Motherboards, a patched firmware is required.
  • Few Devices may not work properly without Bus Activation.
  • Few Devices may require Apple VT-d function under macOS.
  • Advanced Thunderbolt Functions such as Networking Compatibility requires Bus Activation.
  • Few Thunderbolt Devices such as Drobo require a bus activation which can be achieved by flashing a custom Thunderbolt firmware.

It's normal. Thunderbolt information in System Report>Thunderbolt page requires Thunderbolt Bus Activation and for that, it requires flashing a custom firmware.

I haven't done anything about thunderbolt yet but ioReg has info about it so is my thunderbolt complete or not 1684752280651.png
