SOLVED Nvidia GT 120 (Tesla) drivers on Monterey

GT120 is such an old card and i don't think it can give 60 FPS.

For the mouse cursor lag, are you using an Apple Keyboard/Mouse? Either the case, the connectivity is wired or wireless? If wireless, using a Dongle or Bluetooth?
It's the original wired Apple keyboard and mouse. However, I do not get the cursor lag anymore, because I plugged it in the USB port behind the iMac and not in the USB port of the keyboard.

In this Youtube video, the guy get 60+ FPS in 3D games. Note that mine GT 120 has, according to the System Informations app and the Apple page, only 256 MB. So, I know that I won't get 60+ FPS in 3D games, but I am pretty sure my card can give at least 30 FPS in 2D games. I do not see any reason why it couldn't achieve that.
On top of that, I do get 5 FPS instead of 15-25 today. It's really bizarre. Any ideas ?
Something seems wrong with the drivers.

Apple loves to make changes in their releases so its like that. It reminds me of the same thing with AMD 500 series GPU. It was fine until Mojave/Catalina and then since Big Sur, it was performing half. A workaround was published after no old trick worked.

Maybe you are right. I guess I won't play any games on this machine.
Thanks anyway for your help :)

You're welcome!

BTW, did you check if the GPU was not overheating? Have you tried it with an SSD and/or a clean install?
