For verbose mode, just add "-v" without quotes in Boot Args.

Incomplete PR files attached. IOReg is missing.
Thanks for the quick reply. -v is in the config file, it used to work, but not anymore after I changed to OpenRunTime.efi. I think it's frame buffer issue, since I still get a black screen for about 20 seconds before the Apple logo.

As for the hot plug issue, I've been reading your guide back and forth many times, I am quite confident that I've followed it to the letter. Been at it for a week now, still no joy.

Looks like you have tried to use OC on your system. You'll need to use OC and reset NVRAM and then switch back to Clover and it should be fixed.

You should consider disabling Intel HD Graphics as RX 590 is fully supported including HEVC.

Provide your IOReg and TB information.

The HotPlug doesn't works right? As per my check with Alpine Ridge, you need to flash the card for a Hotplug functionality. However, Titan Ridge can work without any issue. Have you done the TB settings in your BIOS?

Yes, I have done TB setting in BIOS, there only a few, I even experimented with all the combinations. So I now stuck in either flash the TB firmware (which I don't know if it's possible for v2.0) or get a Titan Ridge? If I sell this card, and get a Titan Ridge, would I need to flash firmware?

Titan Ridge works as described in the post. With Hotplug support. With Titan Ridge, it's not mandatory to flash the card.

Thanks, after almost brick my TB card and BIOS, I finally made it. I didn't even need the efi driver and kext, just SSDT and correct BIOS version combination. For Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 3, F12 was needed to make everything work.

A tip though, in F7 BIOS, there are a bunch of extra TB options, do NOT touch those! I was locked out of TB BIOS options after changed one of those, and only Windows driver that has previously used the card could see the card at all.

So, you can use Apline Ridge with Hotplug?

Yeap, Gigabyte Alpine Ridge v2.0.
Are you sure that your Hotplug works? Can you describe how did you tested Hotplug? Please provide the following information.

TB Slot Location
BIOS version
THB_C connection Status
TB Settings in BIOS
EFI (Exclude the theme)
Copy of IOReg
