How come the PR files are more than 20MB?

For now, use the external link and i'll update the instructions in the FAQ thread.

Also confirming that on Windows 11 install on separate NVMe drive in this laptop, DP resolution 4k @ 60Hz and HDMI 4k @ 50 Hz (60Hz produces black screen on external display).
So, with the external Display with 60Hz cause a black screen on Windows?

Regarding the PR files,

What's the LCD panel type? 4K/UHD/QHD or 1080p?

Here are a few issues:

- An external display is seen on con2, but you're using lspcon on con1 which is wrong. Secondly, t
- The busid is set to 5. It should be 05000000 as a DATA value.
- You're using enable-max-pixel-clock-override and as well -igfxmpc. Chose one. You should not use both together.

Yes, HDMI 2.0 port output on Windows 11 gives black screen @60Hz, ok @50Hz.

Following your observations:

The LCD panel on the laptop is 1080, so I've removed the dpcd-max-link-rate parameter.

Corrected the busID and removed the enable-max-pixel-clock-override parameter.

Re Connectors, con1 is set to HDMI and con2 to DP. I thought lspcon was necessary for HDMI but not DP?

I also set DVMT Total Memory Size to Max via modgrubshell.

Latest PR files.

Thanks for your attentions :)

That's weird. Is the cable certified? Are you using HDMI 2.0 cable or 2.1?

DPCD needs to be defined since CFL. See "Invalid Maximum Link Rate" in the guide linked below.

Do you have DisPlay Port on your Laptop? Yes, LSPCON configuration is required since KBL for HDMI 2.0 Output.

I also set DVMT Total Memory Size to Max via modgrubshell.
And the DVMT pre-alloc?

It's a 2.0 cable, but not sure if certified. Rechecked and confirming 4k@50Hz on HDMI on Win 11.

Have added -igfxmlr boot arg

It's a USB-C port used with a usb-c to DP cable to the DP port on monitor. This gives 4k @ 60Hz on Win11.
And the DVMT pre-alloc?
Yes, already changed that. Only had option to 64Mb max for prealloc.

You should also define the link rate.

This is especially required on 4K/UHD/QHD Displays and also on screens with more refresh rates.

It's a USB-C port used with a usb-c to DP cable to the DP port on monitor. This gives 4k @ 60Hz on Win11.
Then Con2 seems fine. You can configure LSPCON. See Infinite Loop on Intel HDMI connections with Higher Pixel Clock Rate

Of course, the CPU limits the HDMI 4K @24Hz. However, with USB Type-C to DP, it should give 4K @60Hz. Which cable and Adapter are you using?

Make sure DisplayPort 1.2 is enabled on your monitor's setting and you're using a DP 1.2 cable.

Yes, already changed that. Only had option to 64Mb max for prealloc.
Perfect.

Well, this is somewhat hilarious – after reading this Reddit post, with the external monitor connected, I just changed the mirroring options (from extended display to main display and then back again) and a new option appeared in System Preferences > Displays: 'Refresh Rate', you can check that it wasn't there from the screenshot in post #2.

Looks good. It's a bug on macOS Ventura which I saw in a previous build. It had a problem of not getting 4K resolution ;)

What's remaining on your Laptop regarding the post-install?
