Hello, i am planning building a new and hopefully my last build on BigSur.

My interesst is very much in Thunderbolt 4 and the experiment getting macOS running on a 590 Chipset.

After couple of days making research i´ve found couple of mainboards i am interessted and i was shrink the number to only 2-3 mainboards.
Now I wonne ask you if you can advise me at the chloice and help me finding out if the board (setup) will be compability to macOS BigSur amd OC.

Here the boards:

Can you maybe give me a short advise about the pro/contras of each board?
I also have to say that i like to use a i9 11900K with the setup and 16-32 GB DDR4 RAM
Graphics Card is not sure when i am able to buy a used card of AMD 6800 or 6900 product line.

Edit:
One question I also have: Does macOS support 11th generation Intel procesasors, lets say i9 11900K?

Thank you very much,

greetz,

All the three Motherboards are from Z590 and there is no much difference. ASUS has 2xLAN ports. If you don't have a requirement of Dual LAN, a good choice would be ACE as it has more Thunderbolt features over ASUS. Moreover, all the PCIe x16 slots and RAM slots are having shield. If you're looking for ITX setup, UNIFY is the perfect choice.

Ah okay, this information is very helpful from a professional like you. Thank you very much! What about generation 11th Intel Processors, are they compatible to macOS BigSur and opencore setup?

Currently, you need to spoof RKL to CML in order to boot it up. Additionally, RKL will provide a complete PCIe 4.0 which offers a very great speed.

All right, that's great! Thanks a lot!

Hi there, I'm currently using a 7th Gen Intel Core processor and now planning to upgrade my motherboard for enhanced performance. Now, I'm looking for a decent motherboard for Hackintosh with thunderbolt support, at an affordable price. So, can anyone suggest to me a decent yet affordable motherboard? Thanks!

For everyone, an "affordable price" may be different. What price range are you looking for?
