Hey, do you know how to fix the sleep mode?
rn, When I press the sleep button (in MacOS), the screen turns black but the laptop keeps running and I can't wake it from sleep. If I want to get back to MacOS I have to power off the laptop (by holding the power button) and then turning it back on.

And when I am closing the lid, it doesn't put the laptop into sleep mode. Instead it just turns off the screen until I open the lid again.
Is your ACPI patched? Attach your PR files. Soon, i'll write a guide for it.

Here are some of the issues.

  • The config.plist is not as per the guide.
  • Remove UEFI directory from the drivers folder.
  • ACPIBacklight is old, remove it.
  • Remove VoodooHDA. Use AppleHDA instead.
  • No kextcache output attached.
Start here:

I am using the config that I found online and its the only one thats working.
AppleHDA didn't work so I switched to VoodooHDA.

You should NOT use someone else's files.

It’s from a tutorial I found online.
At least they are working.

Why do I need to redo it when it’s working already?
I just need to get brightness adjustment and sleep mode to work.

Well, that's your wish.

For Brightness, check here:

I followed the first method in your guide and got stuck here: Screen Shot 2020-02-27 at 1.59.26 PM.png
