GUIDE How to Enable Intel UHD Graphics 620/630 on Laptop

I've got a unicorn laptop, XPS 13 9360 Kaby Lake with Intel UHD 620. It showed as 1 GB ram in Windows.
I have installed 12.2 via Clover, and can get to a desktop. its says I have 21 MB ram, and its is the insane native resolution of my panel, 3200x1800. I have tried a few different AAPL,ig-platform-id's but all are the same, assuming I CAN boot to desktop, it's still 21 MB
Looks like you're talking about VRAM, not the actual RAM ;)

Well, it's normal as being QHD, you need to patch the framebuffer for 4K output. Refer to the config.plist creation guide

Ok 1 I am a moron. I used OpenCore 7.4 and yes OSX reports 21 mb vram otherwise everything works, including the touchscreen. trying to wrap my brain around how and where to patch framebuffer

Along with the above properties, you need a few others properties for 4K/UHD/QHD Display.

so all of this?

Looks like you forgot this!

Check whatevergreen manual.

@EliteMacx86 Can you help me make iGPU of 10875h UHD630 works on my laptop?

I've tried many methods to resolve this, but all failed.

I've collected the info required and attached here.

# Help needed: how to make iGPU of 10875h UHD630 works on my laptop
## Details:
1. Laptop hardware
- Model: Gigabyte AERO-17-WB with 4K LVDS LED (3840x2160)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-10875H 2.30GHz 8 cores, 16 threads
- iGPU: UHD630, DeviceId 8086-9BC4
- Audio: ALC 255
- dGPU: disabled via ACPI aml
- LAN: Killer E2600
- WiFi: Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650x 160MHz Wireless Network Adapter (200NGW)
2. Os Info
- Catalina 10.15.x and BigSur 11.4.
- Loader: OpenCore 0.7.1
- Smbios: MacBookPro16,1
1. Not Working HW
- iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 31 MB
- Backlight: not done
4. Working HW
- LAN: RealtekRTL8111
- WiFi: itlwm
- Audio: ALC

- and other changes according to the guide
7. What I've tried
- opencore version : from 0.6.9 to 0.7.1
- mac os version: 10.15.7 to 11.4
- smbios: MacBookPro16,1/2/3/4, MacBookPro15.1
- many AAPL,ig-platform-id

8. My guess
- Comet Lake caused?
- Laptop ?
- Smbios ?
You need to patch framebuffers. Check WhateverGreen manual.

Hello,

I just passed my Mojave hackintosh on my surface book 2 with Clover. But my video card isn't detected properly and I can't do it.

I tried with the HD620 config.plist settings attached, but failed (I can't even run Mojave).

Any advice? Thanks
DVMT patch is required in addition to framebuffer patching.
