SOLVED Graphical glitches and panics when using Firefox

Seems like its time to re-do the EFI from scratch and maybe a clean install as well. What macOS version are you running currently?

Also, what's the NVMe (boot disk)?
Current macOS version is 14.6.1. The NVMe is a Samsung PM991a 512GB drive.

I'll try recreating the ACPI patches (no premade this time) and config.plist file.

I checked the BIOS btw, and it says the intel video memory is 64mb. That's good for macOS, right?

Is the NVMe drive a problem? It sometimes gets stuck at boot Apple NVMe assert (expected), but it doesn't cause other problems (performance is great).
Its a big big problem. Replace with a good NVMe like SN730. xD

It's 1920x1080 so it's good then.
Should be fine.

So I tried a new EFI. Nothing changed sadly. Do you think a new NVMe could solve this?

Attach the new EFI you used. And also the BIOS Settings. Are you sure you are using the latest BIOS version?

Secondly, it could be the NVMe as well. Try with a different SSD or if you have an external drive, you could check with that.

I'll try reinstalling macOS. Maybe that will help.

I think I found the solution. After trying lots of things, I remembered that it started happening around the time I fixed shutdown, which included modifying the DMAR table and disabling DisableIoMapper.

So I enabled the DisableIoMapperMapping quirk, and I haven't see the problem since. I'll do some more tests.

Yup, didn't run into the issue again. So the solution was enabling DisableIoMapperMapping. Marked as solved.
