Mine only got to 128GB id be happy with 64GB I think. Its at 32 right now
With the workload these days, 32GB is minimum if not 64GB. Apps are getting heavier. xD

512 Wow. Ive done like 50 to 75 different hacks on laptops AIOs, MFFs etc , and thats been fun. I always looked at the bulky desktop, aah thats not for me i don wanna mess with that. Then i ended up with a x299 dropped on me and man! Its a fricken beast in comparison to my other ones.

Ive come to find out these Desktops are actually the way to go. When isaw the _PRT: PCI Routing Table in the DSDT vs the other varietys , it was massive i couldnt believe it

Normally You just got the AR00 -ARIF , This x299 was at like AG65 I think. What im saying is i wasnt really aware at how powerful these machines are One of the things ive really benefitted from from with the whole thing was this ACPI Stuff i Really got into that and havent stopped. I learned it from reading Pikers Stuff mainly, and his ACPI TABLES Stripped DSDT . That showed me how to write em from the ground up. Anyhow my naem is Rick. Good to meet ya.

Hers one i put together for a DELL Optiplex 3080 MFF (I implemented the USB Thunderbolt OEM SSDT into the Custom DSDT at the very End of it which isnt functional on that sytem cause theres no hardware so i really dont know why i did that And here is a second one i put toghether from scrach for that same system without the Thunderbolt USB4 USBC , its structured a little differnely. And one of these I put the whole DSDT insidde a global scope and for some reason that seemed to really improve boot time by a second or two. Its noramally pretty fast anyway. HERE they are just to show that im not just talking a bunch of BS.

X299 is great. Still have a few X299 at work.

Yes, HEDT have usually more lanes and more PCIe devices.

This is from some iMac? Can you dump the IOReg for this machine? Have sent you a PM.
