On Windows or Mac?
Thunderbolt Win / USB Mac

No PR files attached. Attach your PR files to check further. Which firmware did you flash?
Ok no PR ATM have to flash the card first to send IOREG. In my first post I mentioned that I flashed my Thunderboltex 3 with a custom rom in my case AlpineRidgeEX3-NVM18-NATA (it's a 1577 card so the NVM18 is the correct firmware )

Thanks for your help and time :)

That was a nice joke ;)

First i recommend you to flash the original firmware, and then implement the Hotplug function. Once things are set, you can flash a custom firmware. Again, flash the custom firmware if you have special usage.

I recently installed an ASUS ThunderboltEX 4 card into my Asus Prime Z590m-plus. I cannot seem to find a BIOS Thunderbolt configuration that works. In order to get my Thunderbolt card working, I had to create an SSDT based off the ThunderboltEX 3 template, now it works to an extent, but the ports are only recognized as USB3.2 ports and my hack is currently showing NO thunderbolt interface options. I am using this thunderbolt card to drive 2 displays, and I don't intend to use them for any other purpose. At this point, the displays work, but my machine essentially posts to safe mode on every boot since installing the AIC, and if I attempt to enable Thunderbolt in the BIOS (seemingly with ANY configuration) my hack stalls halfway through booting, logging seems to indicate that it is stalling while trying to inject the TB ports (but i'm an idiot so I dont know for sure). Can anyone provide some insight or help me troubleshoot this? Thanks!

SSDT is must for a Hotplug function.

What Interface do you have?

Seems like an RTC issue or a bad configuration in the BIOS or the EFI itself. Attach your PR files to check further.

Hi - Ive been reading the threads on here recently in regard to Titan Ridge compatibility. I have been running a successful build in Catalina, on my GA-X79 UP4, with a flashed Titan ridge and pin jumper as there's no header on my board. This includes a Focusrite RedLine 16 TB device in addition to NVME drive bay, a Blackmagic video peripheral , 10g ethernet etc and dock. I have run into problems with the card upgrading to Big Sur. Ive put a clean install on a sep drive to test and its stable until I put the card in. What's odd is the location the computer sees the card in is different even though its in the same slot as before, so the SSDT had to be modified. The card shows up as an apple device similar to my Catalina build with 40gbs per port, but on subsequent boots it can reduce to 10gbs without anything connected to it. On Catalina it was pretty solid. The problems get worse when I try to attach any device to the card. it usually freezes. Ive updated the OC build with latest kexts . My Catalina SMBIOS was a MACPro 7,1. As Im on a test drive Ive tried a few others. Mac Pro 6,1 and iMac 19,2. Its not made any difference. I would prefer to be on my original SMBIOS so I can migrate once its working without it thinking its a new machine. I have tried enabling vt-d in bios as it was previously disabled. I have also tried to make a DMAR ssdt following the guide on here but I couldn't complie it due to errors I don't understand. I can see there's a lot of knowledge on here in regard to this subject so I thought Id post to see if I can get some guidance....Ive attached the current EFI and the Catalina older EFI....

Seems like i have read this in your old thread. You should continue in the dedicated thread you created. Previously, I remember that you had no Audio playback issue which can be resolved with VT-d Enabled. In addition, you would need to provide complete PR files as mentioned in the thread linked below.

thanks for your reply. The previous thread I posted here didn't relate to Big Sur hence why I didn't post there.....PR is Enclosed VT-d is now Disabled
