hey,
I am a new member, here, I am preparing to set a dual boot on my ubuntu-computer with OSX 10.15. I am reading many guides (also this https://elitemacx86.com/threads/sol...s-620-whiskye-lake-graphics-glitch-issue.454/), but before starting, I would like to ask you some advices on my setting:

LIBRETREND WILDEBEEST (linux-PC) [actually the company doesn't work anymore]

CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz
Graphics nVidia GP108M [GeForce MX250]
Intel UHD Graphics 620 (Whiskey Lake)

— I think to use Clover (r5141)
— By now the drivers (UEFI) are
ApfsDriverLoader
AudioDxe
FSinject
HFSPlus
OpenRuntime
SMCHelper
— Kexts/other consists of
lilu
USBinjectAll
VirtulaSMC
VoodooPS2Controller
WhateverGreen
— I would use as config.plist the
config_HD615_620_630_640_650.plist

Is any other relevant element missing?
The main problem is that I don't have info about motherboard. I tried with dmidecode command on terminal:

sudo dmidecode -t 2
[sudo] password di rdw:
# dmidecode 3.2
Getting SMBIOS data from sysfs.
SMBIOS 3.2.1 present.
# SMBIOS implementations newer than version 3.2.0 are not
# fully supported by this version of dmidecode.

Handle 0x0002, DMI type 2, 15 bytes
Base Board Information
Manufacturer: Standard
Product Name: Standard
Version: Standard
Serial Number: Standard
Asset Tag: Standard
Features:
Board is a hosting board
Board is replaceable
Location In Chassis: Standard
Chassis Handle: 0x0003
Type: Motherboard
Contained Object Handles: 0
I am sure there will be something that wont work properly, do you have any advice before starting?

many thanks,
best

This is a newer generation motherboard. So, the CPU info should be enough to prepare the configuration.

thank you. Do you confirm that I can substitute the config.plist with the corresponding

config_HD615_620_630_640_650.plist

?

If you plan to use Clover. It would make more sense to use OpenCore.

thank you. I will do it. (why in my case is OpenCore more appropriate?)

I start reading OC guides and I may have a question regarding my procedure.

Is it actually possible to install a OSX-version (from a USB-OpenCore Installer) into a specific PARTITION of the disk which has already a Linux-OS in another partition? [I mean, does the installation procedure include a step where I can select the destination?)

thanks

In any case, OpenCore is more appropriate and preferred due to the features it has.

Yes, it's possible. However, a partition needs to be created on that particular disk.

Cool. What should the file system be for a partition that hosts OS X?
