5GHz WiFi on a native Apple card doesn't work properly

also, I managed to get OTA updates to work again
apparently I didn't have secure boot enabled in my OpenCore config

Is Smart connect off?
nope, but I did try that before, didn’t change a thing except for making it harder to get it to connect to the network.
Because when I try to connect to a smart network, it just falls back to 2.4GHz after trying to connect to 5.

That's weird.

my TP-Link routers are only letting me choose between channels 40, 44 and 48

Change the Country to the US and check for the channels.

I tried all the channels that it allowed me to choose from, including 155, and the card didn't connect to any of them.

Also, I ended up just ordering the card I showed you a week ago.

Let's wait on the card to see if the new one fixes the issue.

well, I got the card, installed it, cleared NVRAM twice, and I'm still having the same 5GHz issues.

Even tried to use SideCar with my iPad Pro and it just times out & shows a black screen on the iPad
