It should work if I disconnect it from the header and bridge PIN 3 and 5, what do you think?
Yes, it should work, if your jumper the PINS.

Okay I have Thunderbolt up and running.
All I did was disconnect the Header Cable from the Mainboard Header.
I didn not short PINS 3 and 5, and: it is a regular GC Titan Ridge PCIe Card - no Custom Firmware, no flashing.

Then I put the SSDT-DTPG.aml into the ACPI Folder of Opencore.
I have no TB2.aml in the ACPI Folder just the SSDT-DTPG and the SSDT-EC-USBX-DESKTOP.aml

I have to swith on the Thunderbolt Audio Interface and connect it to the TB3 Card, bevore I start the PC.
Hotplug is NOT working. As soon as I switch of the Thunderbolt Interface, it gets lost and doesn't come back.

I guess I will need an additional TB3.aml that takes care of the hotplug. Right?

I am very surprised, that the GC Titan Ridg PCIe Card works without any TB3.aml

Are you sure it is Titan Ridge and not Alpine Ridge? As the Card either needs to have the THB_C PINS jumpered or connected.

That's normal behavior.

Indeed. SSDT is required for a HotPlug, regardless of the firmware.

That's not surprising as regardless of the OS, the OS will recognize the TB controller. If a device is connected and BIOS settings are proper, chances are that the Device will be also connected/shown under the OS, if it doesn't require a further driver.

Titan Ridge
- USB Connected
- Power Cable connected
- Thunderbolt Header Cable connected to the Card but NOT plugged into the Mainboard Header. Just hanging in the Air.

The Card Only gets recognized in macOS IORegExpl when the Audio Interface is switched on and plugged in.
If not switched on, there is no Thunderbolt in IORegExpl.

That's because the Card is not activated as the THB_C is not connected or jumpered.
