Hello there, i'm trying to install MacOS Ventura on my XPS 9300 with spec:

  • Intel Core i5 1035G1
  • 8GB LPDDR4X
  • Intel SSD 256GB
  • Intel Iris Plus G1 + FHD Screen
  • Intel Ax1650s Wifi.
Of course, i first tried to create EFI for myself by following Dortania's official guide, got the OC v1.1, all newest KEXTs and perfect BIOS Setups. But unfortunately, i kept getting the block/prohibited sign like this no matter SMBIOS or macOS Version i chose.

(not my photo but its like this)

To check again, i decided to create Bigsur Install USB and tested with a prebuilt XPS9300's EFI from github: https://github.com/leon0410898/XPS13-9300-hackintosh. Finally, it worked but at the last boot (to get to macOS Welcome screen), i got a panic or sometimes stuck on somewhere idk. And still panic everytime system restart.

If not blocked sign, i still stuck at line: AppleThunderboltNHIReceiveRingManager::allocateReceiving Flags: 0x1 or something related to AppleThunderbolt as picture below.

I'm really at lost now, really really don't know what to do. Guys i appreciate all your helps! Here is my EFI and SSDTs generated: My EFI Folde
Thanks for reading! Thank you!

Thanks for your help, i can boot normally now. But i can't complete the install because i got a boot loop after installing phase 2, sometime a panic: 3rd party NVME controller. PCI link down.

Seems like your NVMe isn't compatible. Disable the NVMe using nvme=-1 bootarg and then check if you can reach the installer.

After adding this bootflags, reset NVRAM, it stuck at "BuildActionDeviceEntry enter" for a while then i got a block sign and "Still waiting for root device message". If i boot with installer from USB, no problem but no SSD was presented in Disk Utility

Edit: my ssd Intel SSDPEKKF256G7L NVMe, i have no ideas what its name.
EDIT: i got no panic anymore, just an infinite boot loop. Looklike the installer cannot write data to the disk, so it keep copying file -> reboot, then copy reboot

You are supposed to boot with the USB at the moment!

Seems like Intel 600p which is problematic. Replace with a compatible one. WD SN750/850.

That's because the NVMe isn't compatible. Once you replace the disk, remove the boot flag, and you can continue with the installation.

Haha, poor me! i finally figured it out the reason of using that flag 🤣🤣🤣.
As research, my SSD is an OEM Intel Pro 6000p, which basically is a variant of Intel 600p series with extra security features so i don't think it will work with Mac. I decided to continue using Windows and wait for the new SSD to arrive.
Anyway, thanks for your help! Have a good day!

Happens. We all are beginners at some point :)

Yes, that's right!

Which SSD did you order?

Anytime!

i got a WD SN750, hope it work well. Now i'm learning how to disassemble my laptop 🤣

Hey @EliteMacx86 i have one more question. I noticed that my mouse cursor is very laggy and slow with and without VoodooI2C kext enabled in plist. So, Is this the result of not injecting Intel VGA or my trackpad is not loaded/Macos not recognized?

Anyway, i have no idea about my trackpad, look like it's I2C. I tried many tool like aida64, devmgmt and did many search on google, all i got is I2C HID Device.
