I managed to install the macOS Tahoe beta on my laptop, but now I’m facing another issue. Despite the gray background indicating potential GPU problems, the system crashes when I get past the privacy notice during the initial setup after installation.

According to the OpenCore guide, there is a solution for this available on the InsanelyMac forum: insanelymac com/forum/topic/335877-amd-mojave-kernel-development-and-testing/page/7/#comment-2658085. However, that information is outdated, and the commands mentioned under the "Update 2" section are no longer valid.

The post suggests that the issue is not related to the GPU, but the solutions offered do not work for me; for instance, there is no opendirectoryd in the current version to load.

I’m very close to experiencing the full macOS, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Crashing at Privacy setup screen is usually caused by the lack of supported GPU. What's the system specs?

- Intel Core i7-8750H
- UHD Graphics 630
- Nvidia GTX 1080 (Disabled in Bios for now)
- HP EliteBook 1050 G1

I even tried macOS Sequoia with
-igfxvesa
on my machine, success, with no GPU acceleration. I tried numerous tricks (Hackintool, Framebuffer Patching, ...), but none seem to be working. Also, I found a ton of people having problems with GPU acceleration using UHD 630; I'm not quite sure if it's possible or not.
For now, for compatibility's sake, I'll do it in Sequoia, then try upgrading to Tahoe, ensuring that "beta" stuff won't impact my attempts.

Your Laptop is compatible. Try the latest commit for OC and the related kexts. Moreover, add CpuTscSync and then check.
