SOLVED RX580 Hardware Acceleration Mac Pro 5,1 Sonoma

Hi all,

This is my first post here, so I'm not sure this is the right forum. Let me know if it's not.

I have a Mac Pro 5,1 mid-2010 which runs Sonoma 14.1.1 very well. However, I have an issue with my XFX-RX580.
I'm running OCLP 1.2.1 but, according to VideoProc, I don't have H264 acceleration. I do, however, have HEVC acceleration. I'm by no means an expert, but I do find this rather odd. Can someone explain, and tell me a way to fix this??

Are you using OCLP to boot? If so, attach the EFI.

Also, are you having Graphics acceleration? XFX cards have issues on Mac side.

Yes, I'm using OCLP 1.2.1, I think I mentioned it.

What do you mean by "attach the EFI"? You want the entire EFI folder in a .zip file??

You can see the acceleration I have. I attached the screenshot.

Problem solved. The issue was that my SMBIOS Spoof Level was set to "None".
