That's nice to hear. Sticking with Ventura won't be an issue. Yes, accept our apologies for such a mishappening.

Well I have an update. I'm stubborn and don't give up easily and decided to try sequoia again on an external M.2 SSD (in case it didn't work) it installed without a hitch with everything as above working. So now I'm attempting to clone the partition to the 4TB drive already installed in the laptop. Hoping not to damage my win11 partition. Guess I'll find out. LOL If so not too big of a deal. When I finish I'll post my Config.plist if anyone wants it. I will say I have learned more about hackintoshing with the laptop than any of the desktops. I have enjoyed the challenge and appreciate being able to come here and ask questions without being flamed for my ignorance of the subject. Hopefully I can help others as I've been helped with what I've learned.
Thank you again for your patience and helpful advice.

You can do it with another approach. Clone the internal disk to an external one. Then update the EFI accordingly and perform an upgrade. Check everything. If its all good, you can delete the backup or keep it for future use.

Well here it is.
Only thing not working is fingerprint reader. I saw somewhere it wasn't compatible, all that says to me is nobody thought it wasn't worth the trouble to figure out. Maybe I'll dig into it myself.

I wonder if Tahoe would run on this thing?

Well, fingerprint isn't supported for most of the time. Was fingerprint working before upgrading to Sequoia?

No, never worked on any OS. Not a major issue and prob why nobody ever went through the trouble to figure it out.

People have tried but it requires a separate driver which isn't provided by macOS or the third party vendor. The support is limited to Windows and Linux only. Some older generations Thinkpad have worked probably for older models.
