GUIDE How To Remove WiFi Whitelist on Lenovo Thinkpad T440 and T440S

I used your way to downgrade the bios version for my t440s thinkpad from 2.54 to 2.36,
but when I reboot, the screen shows "Safe Flash Authentication Failed" and it turns off automatically.
I made sure that "Secure Rollback Prevention" in the BIOS is disabled.
You don't need to reboot. It will reboot itself.

Exactly, it reboot automatically. If you know the cause of the error, can you help me? Thanks !

Attach a video for the process you're doing.

I just had the exact same experience. Everything worked fine until the automatic reboot, then it said "Safe Flash Authentication Failed" and the t440s turned off. I waited for some 10 minutes. But when I started the laptop all over again, it booted fine on Windows, but still with BIOS 2.54.

I would really love to downgrade to get rid of the whitelist. If I can not update my wifi module I will need to not new hardware. The wifi disconnecting randomly is way too annoying.

As per the changelog,
"If the UEFI BIOS has been updated to version 2.36 or higher, it is no longer able to roll back to the version before 2.36 for security improvement"

That's the reason it fails. Is Rollback Prevention Disabled under BIOS?

I just checked. Obviously rollback prevention was already disabled under BIOS. Is there anything else I could do?

Not any that i know except for the programming the BIOS. It has its own risk!

I know but this laptop is lost to me anyway if I can not use wifi anymore.

But where do I get a modded BIOS? bios-mods.com seems dead to me.

Other one is win-raid and thinkpad forums.

You can also manually patch the BIOS and then flash the modded one. Don't have the hardware anymore to try. However, you'll require a programmer as well.
