I have an Akasa Interconnect Pro - it's a USB panel with USB 3.0 card reader and eSATA for 5.25” PC front bay. See more here http://www.akasa.com.tw/search.php?seed=AK-HC-05U3BK.

I cannot make the card reader(s) work. Nothing apparently happens when inserting a card.

Does anyone have a starting point to go by? Like which kext could be relevant, how to search for it in ioregistryexplorer or the likes.

Thanks in advance.

For most of the times, the Card Reader which uses USB bus, can be made to work on macOS but there are few card readers, which are on PCI bus, cannot be made to work. The Card Reader lacks the driver for macOS platform. Run DPCIManager and attach a screenshot of PCIList Tab.

Screenshot attached.

I have connected power (don't know when it uses that), USB3 and SATA (not USB2, thinking it's not needed, as I will only use USB3).

Thanks for looking at this!

Attach a full screenshot with all the Device IDs. Looks like some of them are missing.

There are no more on the last. Last one being the Samsung.

I see. Can you attach a IOReg with the Device connected? It looks like it's from Intel.

Your IOReg is corrupted. Upload a fresh and from v2.1
Also, attach a screenshot of System Report>USB

It was from ioreg 3.0.2, where it opens. Attached now also a version from older 2.1 and USB system report.

So yes, it's from Intel and will not work. Any drivers from the manufacturer?
