Hello, you guys! I'm got some problem with my Hackintosh laptop, detail below.
My laptop's information:
  • Model: Acer E5-575
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-7100U
  • IGPU: Intel HD Graphics 620
  • RAM: 4GBx1 + 8GBx1 => 12GB RAM Bus 2133
  • Wifi: Replaced with DW1820A.
  • Clover: Clover 5106
  • UEFI/LEGACY: UEFI
What's working/not working on my Hackintosh laptop?
  • All working except HDMI + Brightness (Must choose one of HDMI and Brightness)
  • The laptop will force reboot when plugged in the VGA cable (I really don't need VGA port, maybe don't care this)
With 3 version macOS(10.13, 10.14, 10.15), I got different problem below
* With macOS High Sierra (10.13.6):
I patched framebuffer with Intel HD 620, you can see in the "config.plist" I attached.

When I patch SSDT-PNLF into Clover/ACPI/patched:
I can modify the brightness with the slider and hotkeys, it's working without problem but when I plug HDMI cable into my laptop, the internal screen (laptop) is black and screen of HDMI is still working. (Only internal screen black), and when I try to plug HDMI cable out, Internal screen is still black and it doesn't recover again

Note with this method:
  • Black internal screen but backlight still working.
  • When I closed lid or sleep before plug HDMI cable, then wake the laptop up. I can plug in/plug out without black internal screen
When I remove SSDT-PNLF from Clover/ACPI/patched
I plug HDMI cable into my laptop, Internal screen and HDMI screen is working fine (No more black on internal screen).
But because without SSDT-PNLF hotpatch, I can't control my backlight brightness.

* With macOS Mojave/Catalina (10.14.x/10.15.x):
I patched framebuffer with Intel HD 620, you can see in the "config.plist" I attached.
And with mojave&catalina all 3rd party application is so slow when open than default and system app. I take about 20s for open, (High Sierra 10.13.6 is open so fast, ~2,3 seconds) (If you know this problem, please help me)

I can adjust brightness or plug the HDMI cable in/out without problem. But the Internal screen is wrong colour or depth colours like this:

91788055_236944611020908_1786946264764514304_n.jpg

Note: The internal screen is wrong with colour even when I haven't plugged in the HDMI cable, it's default when booting hackintosh up success
____________
With 10.13 when I closed lid or sleep before plug HDMI cable, then wake the laptop up. I can plug in/plug out without black internal screen
With 10.14 & 10.15 when I closed lid or sleep, then wake the laptop up, the internal screen is normal, no more effect by wrong colours

Because EFI & ioreg so large, I'll upload with my driver file.
EFI => download EFI
ioReg => ioRegs copy

I'm using High Sierra 10.13.6, you can skip Mojave/Catalina problem if you don't have time!
Thanks for reading, hope you can help me!

Sorry, but I can't use Mojave/Catalina because of that.
P/S: My config from https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config and modified it for fix such as audio, USB port, sleep, ...

Well, it's your wish. Still based on High Sierra, your configuration is not proper. If you're willing to put efforts, you can have everything working on this forum. :)
Well, I'll backup High Sierra and try to install Catalina again with your guide again. If it gets "slow when open 3rd party app problem again", Can you help me solve it?
P/S: I confused with 2 configs from Rehabman.
config_HD615_620_630_640_650.plist
config_HD615_620_630_640_650_spoof.plist

Which config file will fit with my i3-7100U, Intel HD 620 laptop?

High Sierra is bit old. If you want to use 32-bit Apps, Mojave is the go. Yes, we're here to fix your issues.

Use "config_HD615_620_630_640_650.plist"
