only 144hz in settings but my monitor is 240hz

I use hdmi 2.0 and my video card is gtx 1070

monitor : gamepower x40

I tried using switchresx but it doesn't work

Firstly, do NOT SwitchResX. It makes things more weird.

Secondly, the monitor model in the question, does not have a proper specification listed on the official website. Note that in most of the cases, the HDMI may not support all ranges of the refresh rate and vice-versa. So, double check on that.
