Hi everyone, I’m running into a few issues after upgrading to macOS Sonoma.
Before the upgrade, NootedRed was working fine without any additional patches in DeviceProperties. After upgrading to Sonoma, I tried updating the kext, and while it initially works, the system crashes after a few seconds or minutes of use.
Another issue I noticed is that my trackpad stopped working. I’m aware that my trackpad uses I2C HID, but even with that in mind, it’s currently non-functional under Sonoma.
The only workaround I’ve found so far is to revert to my old EFI (with outdated kexts and 7MB VRAM). For reference, I’m using the MacBookPro16,3 SMBIOS, which I chose based on recommendations for notebook setups.
Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve attached my current EFI below—please let me know if you spot anything incorrect or incompatible.
Thanks in advance!Ryzen 5 3500u EFI
