before I try that, the github page says that it does not support M1.
"It seems that it does not work on Mac M1 Apple chip, working only for Mac Intel."
and also: https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-Big-Sur-Adapter/issues/151

so the question is how you made HoRNDIS work in M1, and maybe we can do the same for that WiFi adapter kext

You should try to follow the instructions I provided and then after your reports, I can conclude a result. As I already mentioned, I tested 2 Adapters with the same Chris1111 drivers and they work perfectly.

does not work.
I think it's because:
1. the first adapter - TL-Link T2UH is with MediaTek chip and doesn't even have the drivers in the kext.
2. the second adapter has the Realtek 8821CU chip, but the drivers for that are also missing from the kext: you can see under sub-title "Support Drivers: (Adapter)" many 88XX drivers, but not 8821.

also - I'm not sure how it works for you on M1 since there are 3 github issues on M1 being unsupported.

:-(

Note that my chip was different.

Hello @EliteMacx86,
thanks for the explanation on How to use Android USB Tethering on M1 Macs, it worked for me.
I just have a quick question :
should I setup my Macbook Pro back to max level security ? Kinda like "revert" STEP 1.6 ?
If so, would you be able to explain me how ?

Thank you !

You should be able to revert it. You can just boot into recovery and via Utility, you can select the desired option. If selecting the Maximum Security disables the kext loading, you must set the security to reduced.

Can I roll back security changes? Will it stop working in that case?
