Overview
Recently, Apple announced their new macOS lineup i.e macOS Monterey 12.0 which is Apple's newest and most awaited OS. Big Sur adding massive updates and improvements from its predecessor, Catalina.

Requirements
Before you start with this guide, here's are few requirements
A complete backup of your system. We advise you to perform a complete backup of your system along with the existing installation. In case something goes wrong, you can restore it using the backup you created.
Compatibility

STEP 1: Create a Backup of your Mac
Before you proceed with an upgrade, we advise you to perform a backup of your Mac. In case the upgrade fails or you encounter any issue with the upgrade, you can roll back to your existing installation.

STEP 2: Download macOS Monterey
The second step is to download macOS Monterey. The copy of macOS is currently available to developers who have enrolled in the Apple Developer Program. However, due to a bug present in M1 Mac for macOS Monterey, the installer cannot be downloaded due to a bug present in M1 Mac for macOS Monterey. To fix that, you'll need to download a direct installer from Apple servers. To download macOS Monterey directly, follow the guide linked below.

STEP 3: Fixing Installation Error
As mentioned above, due to a bug present in M1 Mac, which is applicable to macOS Monterey at the moment. However, a workaround is available. To fix the error, follow the guide linked below.

Upon following the step #3, the installer will open automatically. Click on Continue and follow the instructions. At last, select your target drive and click on Install
