Okay -

Audio interface connected and powered -> boot mac -> audio interface working and available in system -> keep interface powered on and disconnect from mac -> reconnect -> audio interface no longer available.

No, no custom firmware on AIC

I should also mention I am using an Apple branded TB2 to TB3 connector between the interface and ThunderboltEX card.
Provide the BIOS settings.

Attached are my Thunderbolt BIOS settings. If I'm missing anything here please let me know. Thank you
Looks good. You mentioned that you're having Asus ThunderboltEX 3. It comes with two variant. One is Alpine Ridge and one is Titan Ridge. Your one is Alpine Ridge. The SSDT you're using is not appropriate for your Card. Read the guide again and update the file.

No PR files attached. The driver for UAD is crashing. Install latest drivers.

The TB implementation looks fine. Flash NVM50 firmware and the error should be fixed.

Hello! Firstly thank you so much for writing up this guide. It looks like many people are benefiting and it's working flawlessly for many. I am having some trouble. I have gone through the steps many times, trying to make sure I didn't miss anything. I've read through every page of this forum and some others, and I just can't figure it out. I have put together PR files to see if someone can see an obvious step where I went wrong. Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can provide.

Most of the information that you need is in the zip file, please let me know if I missed something.

Your Thunderbolt implementation seems fine. But with all the Alpine Ridge Controllers, to make the Hotplug working, more patching is required which is not described in this guide as it's hardware specific and very difficult to adapt even for a similar system. With Titan Ridge, following this guide will have a perfect Hotplug for single, multiple and onboard Thunderbolt.

Update: The above is not needed now. Refer to # post 1 and read the Notes.

Hello! Thank you for your great guide. I tried to make config on my own, but I'm having same issue every time. Basically I made everything from this guide and I'm getting really strange results. I have ASUS WS X299 Pro mobo with Gigabyte Titan Ridge 2.0 TB Card and for good start my mobo sees only this card in slots highlighted on "Diagram.PNG" but i've seen on other people's builds that they were using that card in slot PCH X4 and PCIEX16_4. But really strange thing is that my card is seated in slot PCIEX16_3 but in system it reports that it is in PCIEX16_2 and in IOReg, without any ssdt, shows address: PC03.BR3A.SL09 and when I'll apply my TB SSDT it only changes it's address from SL09 to PEGP and nothing works at all plus when system boots in verbose ThunderboltReset gives: "No GenericAppleThunderboltHAL found" and I'm getting kernel panic when my it wakes from sleep every time when TB Card is enabled in UEFI. I really have to get it working cause I've bought new Motu TB Audio Interface but now it's useless. Thank you. P. S. in Windows everything works flawlessly.
