Greetings!

I am an animator by trade who also loves fiddling with gadgets, devices, and computers as a hobby and I recently took interest with making a Hackintosh. My first experience with Mac was with the G4 then went to Windows to this day given the accessibility of parts and software for the former are too limited, and the upgradability of it is close to zero unlike machines built for Windows.

So I was thinking, why not try making a Hackintosh? You get the modularity of PCs and efficiency of Mac OS in one package, and as someone who works creatives, I saw how it handle graphic design, video editing, and animation post processing quite well and has since been interested about the idea. Given my trade, I think it would be best for my workflow to transition to an Apple workspace for better efficiency since I already own an iPhone and an iPad (both got as a refurb because I don’t have that much budget for the newer releases), and syncing files without that much third parties involved is actually great. So far, no luck but I hope I get it running soon.

Let’s hope we get ours running.

Nice to meet you. Thank you for having me.

Hello and Welcome to EliteMacx86!

Macs are really great when it comes to professional work, now some gaming is still possible. But hey, who uses Mac for gaming? xD

Did some gaming with a G4 before but that was one hell of a clunky experience it made gaming in Windows a very irreplaceable experience lol.

I’ve always wanted a Mac for professional stuff but the price has always been the barrier. Glad to see people like you do your best to make it accessible and doable for everyone even if the latest versions seem to be getting pickier when it comes to system requirements. Appreciate the help so far!
