I hope I have placed this question is the correct place. My issue is with customizing the boot menu - so I wanted a category within post-installation > boot menu (OpenCanopy) section. Thus I suggest that category.
Anyway I have a fully working system with (I hope) fully tuned for my hardware. Using OCAT I setup my GeForce graphics card. During the process, I wasn't sure that upgrades (eg. Monterey -> Ventura) would completely work so I have several installations. (I didn't like Sonoma, maybe it wasn't fully compatible with my hardware - a few issues like slower - so I am using Ventura and happy.)
Finally I added UEFI Drivers for other O/S filesystems (OpenNtfsDxe.efi, ExFatDxe.efi, ext4_x64.efi), copied .VolumeIcon.icns to root directories, applied blessed names and added explicit entries for my other O/Ss (eg. Windows, Ubuntu). I may have overkill drivers and other methods to have a boot menu that looks mostly correct.
Although I am using Resouces/Images/MyIcons with lots and lots of flavour icons (eg. Apple12, Windows, ExtAppleRecv, etc.). It shows the standard Apple.icns for each flavour of macOS. (I discovered many of my homemade icons wouldn't show 'til I used the proper tools like iconpack.). So to eliminate icon size issues I am using public published icons.
Why is this happening?
