Once I changed the efi Settings and rebooted, entire system went a bit haywire. I just shut it down for a while but now won’t come back on. Think power supply is shot, no biggie however… I pulled my SSD and tried to get some files I need for Monday and it won’t read on any system. Think the SSD got fried?

Did you used that particular SSD on a different system?

Do you happen to know if i used a 790 board would my build come back to life? Figured out my board is fried, just trying to get back setup as quick as possible

Yes, one of the Z790 AORUS Extreme got fried.

Yes, i tried.. anyway. Failed with Mac, Failed with windows, I got lucky as the file i needed was my resume and i got the job. Going to try and rebuild with the Z790 and see if i can at least get it to boot. I'll report back once parts arrive and i build

Update:

I am now using a Gigabyte-Z890-Aorus-Elite-WIFI-7, everything fully working, had to buy new ram as this board only supports ddr5, due to price im only using 64GB atm (will upgrade later) and my data is safe, did a data backup and going to ultimately replace that drive as now im a bit untrusting... lol
