GUIDE A Beginner's Guide: How to Patch AppleHDA for Laptops

No Codec Dump attached. Next to that, the same issue is for me and many other users. You can use the same AppleHDA on Mojave and use layout ID .i.e 3.

Dear EliteMacx86,
Thank you for your Reply. I am sorry I thought I attached the file. I edited my previous post and include the codec dump. I will try with the same applehda I have in high Sierra and will post my results. Thanks.

Hi, good news. it works. Thank you again for the info. The only problem I have is that headphones only work if I have syspref open in the sound input tab. the same in high Sierra. Could that be resolved with my Code Dump?

Dear Mirone,
Thank you for all your hard work with AppleHDA patcher. I have a request to you. I use AppleHDA patcher v1.8 in high Sierra and although I have some issues with headphones, my internal speakers are working very well. however I was unable to get audio in Mojave with applehda patcher v1.8 or v1.9.2 and layout id 2. I am using two external hard drive one with High Sierra and the other with Mojave in the same laptop. Could you please be so kind to patched the applehda kext for me using my Codec Dump. I attached the Codec Dump to you. Thank you very much.

It works great with layout id 2. Thank you very much. However I notice that my Microphone is not working. Could that be fix also? would you be so kind to help me with that?

It works great with the first one. However there is input device but I noticed the microphone is not working. Could that be fix with the codec dump?
The second one did not work. The third one works but there's no input device.
