OpenCore 0.9.5 Update

Today, Acidanthera has released OpenCore v0.9.5 replacing OpenCore v0.9.4, and is available in RELEASE and Debug versions for OpenCore users. Interested users can upgrade their existing version of OpenCore to the current version. Clover users can also switch from Clover to OpenCore seamlessly.

  • Fixed GUID formatting for legacy NVRAM saving
  • Fixed inability to open files in root directory on an NTFS filesystem
  • Fixed hang while unloading NTFS driver
  • Added UEFI quirk ShimRetainProtocol, allowing OpenCore chained from shim to verify Linux using shim's certificates
  • Added OpenLegacyBoot driver for supporting legacy OS booting
  • Added shim-make.tool to download and build rhboot/shim, for Linux SBAT and MOK integration

How to Download OpenCore 0.9.5?

Downloading OpenCore is quite simple. To download OpenCore, simply follow the steps below.

1. Download OpenCore Pkg. The OpenCore Pkg comes in two variants. DEBUG and RELEASE.

How to Install OpenCore 0.9.5?

OpenCore is available for Legacy and UEFI and comes in two variants i.e. DEBUG and RELEASE. RELEASE is for the general public and the DEBUG is intended for the developers and for debugging in case the system fails to boot. In addition, OpenCore differs from system to system i.e. x64 and x32. Depending on your System Type, select the appropriate type to install OpenCore. How to Update to OpenCore 0.9.5?

If you're using OpenCore as a bootloader for booting macOS on your non-Apple computer, you can update the existing version of OpenCore to the latest version.
