The following is a guide for installing macOS Big Sur on your Mac. You can use this guide for a clean install of macOS Big Sur on your compatible Mac.

Installing macOS Big Sur on Mac
Now, you can start downloading files, creating bootable USB and doing a clean install. Follow the steps below to install macOS Big Sur on your Mac.
Download macOS Big Sur
The very first step is to download macOS Big Sur. The copy of macOS is available for free download for anyone who has purchased a Mac with macOS High Sierra or greater. To download macOS Big Sur, follow the steps below
1. If you're using macOS Mojave or later, you can obtain macOS Big Sur via Software Update. Click on Apple menu > System Preferences, then click on Software Update. Alternatively, you can click on System Preferences and then click on Software Update.
If you're having trouble with Software Update, you can obtain a copy of macOS Big Sur via App Store. To Get macOS Big Sur and click on GET button to continue downloading macOS Big Sur.
Creating a Bootable USB Flash Drive with Createinstallmedia
The next step is to create a bootable installation drive. To create a bootable USB, follow the guide below.

Booting the Installer using USB
After preparing your installation USB, you're ready to install on the target Mac
1. Restart your Mac and while restarting, hold down the option key and select your USB Flash Drive and boot from it. The installer will load in a while.
2. When at installation screen, select your preferred language and continue
3. Select Disk Utility and continue, click on View and select Show all Devices.
8. Now select your Hard Drive or SSD on which you want to install macOS and use the following parameters to erase your drive.
5. Close Disk Utility
6. Select Install macOS and continue with the options.
7. Now select Macintosh HD and click on Install.
Note:
This will take couple of minutes and will restart at "Less than a minute is remaining". Upon completion, the system will automatically restart. Your Mac will restart to complete the installation.
Here it ends the first phase of the installation.
8. When your Mac restarts, select Boot macOS Install from Macintosh HD or (Your drive name) and then boot.
It will continue the second phase of the installation. Upon completion, your Mac will automatically restart.
The first boot maybe slower as the caches are not build yet. Once the caches are built, it will boot normally.
When you're at the welcome screen, continue with the basics options such as Keyboard setup, Network, Computer Account and Privacy settings.
Now the installation is complete!
