Greetings to all
I would like to talk again, about Firewire connections and specifically about the MIDAS Venice series F.
I understand that Firewire is obsolete because of the Apple brand and its OSX, although there are thousands of peripherals that use this port all over the world, I don't think that the professionals who trusted it are interested. And what to say about everything that refers to the MIDAS Venice F also, after being absorbed by mr. Beringher, but beyond that, and with no intention of going looking for those responsible for this mess
Is there no IT engineering service that can offer a service to purchase driver updates? There is no programmer to be able to make a firewire recognition application in Ventura or later? with the thousands of computer engineers out there right now? I understand that it is a problem of programming not of machines that work well.
The brands would have to be obliged, by law, to support their own products for a minimum of 15 years, a lot of ecology and a lot of law to end up throwing away products that are in perfect condition of use.
How much time wasted programming and looking for solutions instead of making music… If someone knows a solution to implement Kernells cables or others for firewire recognition in Sequoia or Ventura or for the installation of the MIDAS Venice F series driver, I would appreciate it.
I've tried the firewire connection to USB-C to Thunderbolt info Thunderbolt to firewire but it doesn't work.
I'm looking now to copy the Mojave OSX programming Kernells to see if they work with Catalina... I can go back to High Sierra but I'm increasingly limited by software.
I understand that the machines work perfectly but it is the programming that causes these problems. Programmed obsolescence with machines that run perfectly.
I had a stable configuration with High Sierra but I wanted to update to Catalina to be able to access a more complete software.
I don't understand how there isn't some computer engineering company that doesn't update drivers and applications and sell them in order to make machines that aren't exactly cheap.
Cordially
