[SOLVED] Dell XPS 9360 "ASF2 Force OFF"

So just to clarify, those changes are need for the "Efi clean" (the one I sent you yesterday). Where Can I find those files? The ones that I'm using are from the dortania guide website. Right Now I'm unable to boot, keep getting stuck on HID: Legacy Shim 2. I read online that it's caused by...

[SOLVED] Dell XPS 9360 "ASF2 Force OFF"

No I replaced it myself. Yes I know, in fact it is not recognized and it doesn't charge the battery. But I can charge it using the usb c adapter. But I don't get how the ac adapter should fix this, the laptop runs fine on ac. The problem occurs only on battery, and before taking the battery as...

[SOLVED] Dell XPS 9360 "ASF2 Force OFF"

Hi, I installed Monterey successfully on my Dell XPS 9360 (i7-8550u/UHD620/QHD Display). But now I've got a problem: almost always when I use my laptop on battery the laptop just dies, no power at all, and I cannot even turn it back on. I need to plug in the DC adapter to get it back on (USB-C...

    Intel UHD620 no GPU acceleration

No. I changed the DVMT variable to 64M and the acceleration issue is fixed. Also my dell laptop have an handy bios log, everytime the pc shuts off like this it registers "ASF2 Force OFF". I don't think that this is related to the bios version as I already changed it a few times and the issue is...

    Intel UHD620 no GPU acceleration

I was wrong. The problem is not fixed. I tried to remove many things like acpi patches, kexts and such but I don't get why this happens only when it's battery powered. When it's plugged into ac there's no problem, also this didn't happen in windows. Is there some kind of log that I can see some...

    Intel UHD620 no GPU acceleration

Also I would like to add that I cannot get my usb adapter as built-in. And I do belive that this is the cause of "Error while communicating with the server" when logging in with iCloud. Also the usb adapter seems to work only if I plug it in when the laptop is powered on, if I power it on when...

    Intel UHD620 no GPU acceleration

Well now that I've done litteraly everything I noticed one thing: I always used my laptop while charging in this days, and by removing I noticed a very strange thing. When I login with my password and can barely see the desktop (for like 1-2 second) the laptop turns off. Complete shutdown (in...

    Intel UHD620 no GPU acceleration

I have an usb C hub (certified to work on macos) with an ethernet port. The laptop doesn't have any built-int port. It just has a killer 1535 wifi card, which is not supported. I'm waiting for my broadcom card from china, but I think I'll receive it next month

    Intel UHD620 no GPU acceleration

Because I'm used to download recovery images and put it on usb like the guide I follow told me to do. I've never created a full installer usb, and also I do belive you need a real mac to do it (and I don't have one at the moment)

But I do not have access to macOS, I can only boot to recovery and I cannot install it due to the network not working.

    Intel UHD620 no GPU acceleration

I do belive it's Fast Ethernet by the FE. By windows I can see Realtek USB FE Family Controller VID_0BDA&PIF_8152. I don't know how to generate a PCIe Report.

    Intel UHD620 no GPU acceleration

By the way I found a guide on github of a user having my same dell model but looking at my bios the variable is the same but the max memory option in my case is 64mb... is that enough? I don't get why he has other values, I'll try to downgrade the bios and check that version that he has.
