Yea I'm using a 5GHz network, it just defaults to 2.4GHz sometimes because when it does connect to 5GHz, it only gets like 1Mbps and 100+ms ping to the router.
But as I mentioned above, I'm not getting these issues when I boot into a Linux distro, so its not an issue with the card or my adapter.
It's a native Apple card though, shouldn't it just work out of the box? (considering that 2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth work just fine)
Also I'm on OpenCore 0.8.7, latest is 0.8.8, I don't think that its going to make any differences (had these WiFi issues for about a year now)
Hello,
I've been having 5GHz WiFi issues (2.4GHz & Bluetooth work fine) on my Hackintosh ever since I got an Apple branded BCM943602CS card, where it won't always connect to WiFi, and when it does connect, it'll have a very high ping to the router & low speeds (despite sitting about a meter from...
Finally got it and Bluetooth started working!
Thank you.
There's only one issues though: The auto unlock with Apple Watch option works for like 1-5 times, and then just stops working until I disable and then enable it again.
Do you know how to fix that?
My motherboard doesn't have a built in Mini PCIe slot for wireless cards, thats why I got the adapter in the first place.
Well, I guess that I'll need to wait about a month or two until the new adapter arrives.
Found this one (it even has a shield):
It’s in my PC rn, but I have this photo that I took when I assembled the adapter (both antenna wires are plugged into the Broadcom card right now).
(This adapter doesn’t have a USB header).
Question: Do I need a Mini PCIe to PCIe adapter that has a USB connector on it as well?
Because the one I have right now doesn't have one, and Bluetooth isn't being detected anywhere (not on Windows, macOS or Linux).
Here's my Clover folder, its bootable with macOS High Sierra on the HP Pavilion G6 1250ej laptop.
And also included the tools I used to restore the BIOS on this laptop (with the BIOS bin file I used (its not the same one HP included in their archives)).
You can lock this thread now if you want.
Well, I tried to get OpenCore running on this laptop with a newer macOS (because High Sierra isn't supported by Apple anymore), and it didn't work.
So, I will install another OS on it instead.
I really don't want to run an OS that doesn't get security updates if I have other options.
So this...
Unfortunately this BIOS still has the whitelist
And I am not willing to flash another modded BIOS until someone can confirm that it’s going to work with this laptop.
I did however, read somewhere that taping 2 pins on the card (one for WiFi and another one for Bluetooth) will allow the laptop...
