I just wanted to add one thing, during the trial and error getting LAN / Wi-Fi / and audio to work there was a point in time the computer did in fact sleep the problem was I needed to use the power button to wake, I do have the old EFI for reference...

    My board Z790 has 4 usb c all 4 charge my ipad when connected but only 1 allows it to show up in finder. Did I map my ports incorrectly? I'm going crazy trying to determine why sleep is broke :)
