that wasn't the best part. i picked it up cheap from one of those stores that sells used electronics. i bought it as it was cheap, however, as soon as I got it home, I took the side panel off to see how upgradable it was... that was disheartening, however, someone left a graphics card in it...

Integrated WiFi and Bluetooth (though I didn't move those to the new build as I will only ever be using it wired).
The Dell 3891 is a great machine and can be picked up really cheap...
Happy days. In the end I simply gave up with my Dell 3891 motherboard and purchased (second hand) an Asus Prime Z490-P, popped in an i5-10400 and 24GB RAM, an NVME drive (256GB) and a 500GB SATA SSD.

I recently managed to install Catalina (and then upgraded to Big Sur) on a pair of aging HP 800's (g1). I felt quite happy that I had achieved something, however, I also own a Dell 3891 with a 10th gen i5 processor and I am stuffed if I can get it to install.
Has anyone else had any success...
Thanks for letting me join the group. I come from the UK and have only recently begun dabbling with Hackintoshes (is that even a word). I picked up a couple of HP 800 G1's recently for £40 GBP (about $45) each and managed to install Big Sur onto both of them without a hitch after someone...
I can't even manage to get past opencore's bootloader - it mumbles something about failing to load image. Would you consider sharing your EFI folder with me before I go mad!
