Trying to boot recovery image on Sandy Bridge (for install), no succes

Ok. I’ll do that this evening, one question though, maybe obvious but, i should remove the boot args too for the dGPU when i remove it from hardware, right? I’m asking just to be shure.
Yes, of course. Do that.

Okkkkk, so i managed to boot and install as you suggested with iMacPro1,1 and this quirks https://imageupload.io/HakP65f3XXCbdIm

buttt the video output is verry poor.. i only have 1280x1024
EnableWriteUnprotector and RebuildAppleMemoryMap should not be used together. Use the first one only.

The reason why it has lower resolution is because the Graphics isn't working at the moment. What macOS version have you installed?

Ok, i'll disable de RebuildAppleMemoryMap, maybe that's why macos wont boot without usb, although i copied the EFI folder in EFI partition from MacOS.

I'm using Catalina. Right now i'm installing Legacy Video Patch.. but got an error something with apple event runtime error..

That's a later thing. Remove the EFI from the USB. Keep booting using USB until its ready.

Okay. It's obsolete now. You'll need to change SIP in the config.plist and then run OCLP and install the Legacy Graphics patch and you should be good to go.

Also, HD7770 is supported up to Monterey. So install the GPU and then check if you have acceleration. WEG and boot args are required.

I tried one without another but i cant boot aymore (REubil.. EnableWrite..). I got a kernel panic or EXIT:BS:START

Okay, in that case enable RebuildAppleMemoryMap and disable EnableWriteUnprotector.

Tried all eays, Rebuild enabled, write disable => kernel panic
write enable, rebuild disable => exit:start:bs
i did not reseted nvram, should i?

Of course, reset NVRAM twice after you make the changes. Also, try the combination of SetupVirtualMap.

Try the following with the rest of Quirks left as default.

SetupVirtualMap+EnableWriteUnprotector
SetupVirtualMap+RebuildAppleMemoryMap
EnableWriteUnprotector
RebuildAppleMemoryMap

1. SetupVirtualMap+EnableWriteUnprotector:
Code:
Can't boot, got - EXIT:BS:START
2. SetupVirtualMap+RebuildAppleMemoryMap
Code:
Can't boot, got - https://imageupload.io/JSiO7brQgM5Mgte
3. EnableWriteUnprotector
- Same as nr 1
4. RebuildAppleMemoryMap
- Same as nr 2

NVRAM reseted twice for every point (1,2,3,4)
One more thing, maybe it helps you in diagnosing the problem. When i power on the pc, it goes straight to Windows Desktop, no OpenCore picker, only if choose the stick from boot menu shows the OpenCore picker.

One little update: Tried to deal with cpu power management post install as dortania tells, I just added the "drop" tables in config, restarted and boom, OCB: LoadImage failed
--------------------
I removed the "drop" tables, now it won't boot anymore....:mad:
