Hello, I am in the process of installing a new build on a new motherboard. I had another mb previously. My profile is updated with the new one on the forum. My system works pretty much for the moment without having to change the efi and I'm trying to build the new one with this session. I don't know if that's good or bad.

I skipped the key creation part at the start, and when I wanted to do my ssdt via ssdtTime, I started to create the key to be able to do the dump or various methods that I read carefully via all the methods indicated but it's impossible for me to boot this key. Opencore can't see it, even with the instruction to show all the peripherals. Invisible in the bios too. I followed the bios instructions precisely, activating and deactivating what was indicated. The Msi bios is really horrible. In fact I don't even want to install macos os on the key, I just want my key to allow me to test my prepared efi that I haven't finished yet. This would allow me to build my ssdt with time and map my usbs ports to add in my efi.

If you have any pointers I'd love to hear from you. I spent the day reading the documentation between yours and Dortania's. And I've got a brain as big as a watermelon!

I give a little more info.

I updated the bios, forgot to do it, and my old efi doesn't work anymore. I had to redo the bios settings but I don't understand why it worked before and not after, as if I'd forgotten something.

Finally I found that settings/adv/usbconfig/Legacy Usb Support had to be enabled for the keys to be visible, it was disabled all yesterday. I don't know what that means properly.

When I trying to boot my install_ventura, I get an error "EXITBS:START". I used the different methods explained for these errors on dortania doc, but the error is still present.

Ps : The last bios ( 7C75VAD) version make the issue EXITBS:START, i retested that. The previous version work fine ( 7C75VAD). I can do my ssdt now ! :)

SSDTTime isn't needed at all.

Start here:

Enable SetupVirtualMap and you should be able to boot. Make sure to reset NVRAM.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes everything is fine now, it works on the previous bios in fact. I reset the nvram every time I make a change. I can see the difference :)
I had seen your great video, I didn't know you made videos. Quick stuff!
I thought Universal Quirks was for people other than Comet lake and the rest. Dortania says that SetupVirtualMap won't work on mb Asrock. I've tested everything even on the latest bios since it's recommended for boot problems with EXITBS:START but it didn't work. So I'm just on the bios below; I'll try again later.

ssdttime makes ssdts more concise and speeds up boot? I've read that but I'm not sure. I wanted to test it. But my system does load quickly, so there's no point.

I have to do the mapping. I don't have a usb2.0 key, so I'll see if it works with a mouse or a webcam. Not sure.
I've got more than 15 ports, at least I counted 19 when I've only got 5 on the back + 2 ports on the case. The rest are direct connections on the motherboard (header?). The usb inputs are listed and can be disabled directly in the bios. I don't know if this will be of any use to me.

Sometimes, people should try new things ;)

There is no point. Unless your system needs it for further patching.

Enable USB Ports. USBInjectAll+UBXHCIUnsupported+XhciPortLimit Quirk.

Map all ports, keep it to 15. Inject. Disable USBInjectAll+XhciPortLimit Quirk

Yes, thx.
Xhci-unsupported link is dead in your kext section, rehadman kext 6 years old I suppose its the latest.
Remember me his Nuc build. ^^

There is a new fork and the link should be there.

Hello, I mapped via hacktintosh method #1. I'm a bit confused. Can you just confirm if I need rhub ssdt or not. It is neccessary method #2 with RHUB to configurate 400 serie ?

Msi boot without.

If all your ports are being detected, then there is no need.
