Hey there, I noticed an incredible and exclusive Thunderbolt guide here! I have to say that you did it! Thank you guys for helping many people complete their Thunderbolt epic road!

But I own a special Thunderbolt PCIE card: MSI Thunderbolt M3 here‘s MSI official store link

It actually uses Alpine Ridge chips to work, I tried to use Gigabyte SSDT to complete the hotplug work, but it does not work.

I understand that almost no one uses this thunderbolt card, I'm here I just hope that I can help people who use this card in the future.

I can help someone to debug make this card work, or just tell me how to implement some process, when I done I will post all works to here.

here‘s my questions:

1. Where does hackindrom's Thunderbolt SSDT come from? Can I build my own SSDT?

I got my thunderbolt on ioReg(hackintosh) as PC00-RP21

and I got my DSDT on Windows, I can't find any RP21. but I can find BR1A. I noticed that the guide needs to change the RP21 in the SSDT to BR1A, It seems that I already own it?

But it also seems to be different on ioReg. My DSDT shows that it is from PC01, but ioReg is from PC00?

When I try to get the correct thunderbolt SSDT from my DSDT, but I noticed that the SSDT of hackindrom has UPSB?

I can't find any information about these contents on my DSDT.

I have changed the settings required by the guide in my BIOS, my Thunderbolt plug on PCI_E2 (the only PCH PCIe 3.0 x4)

here‘s my DSDT from Windows:

Our pleasure :)

You need to adapt it for your own Card you use.

It's a tested set of SSDTs for the listed particular systems. Yes, of course, you can build your own.

Well, you don't need DSDT from your system at all for making Thunderbolt to work, including Hotplug.

Here is the link to the Thunderbolt Hotplug implementation guide
