Hello,

I am new to Hackintosh Community, i am trying to install MacOS Catalina on my dell laptop.

But i get kernel panic whenever i boot into installer like this.

Kernel Extension in Backtrace : com.apple.driver.AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer(14.0.4)

Please i need help , i am also attaching my EFI and image specifying about the KP issue.

Please have a look.



My laptop specifitcations:

Name : Dell Vostro 3558

Processor : Intel Core i3 5005U (Broadwell-U)

Graphics : Intel HD 5500 and Nvidia 920m

Opencore Version : 6.3

MacOS Version : 10.15.3

Hello, I am new to Hackintosh Community, i am trying to install MacOS Catalina on my dell laptop. But i get kernel panic whenever i boot into installer like this. That's because of insufficient DVMT Pre-alloc memory on your Laptop. You can use the framebuffer patch or can manually unlock the DVMT Pre-alloc.

That's because of insufficient DVMT Pre-alloc memory on your Laptop. You can use the framebuffer patch or can manually unlock the DVMT Pre-alloc.

Is the SMBIOS and platform id good for my laptop?

Also i had used the framebuffer patch but still getting this error.

And in BIOS my video memory is set to 64mb , cannot be changed.

I tried the rehabman's invalid platform id and installed the Mac os successfully.

After completing the whole procedure i rebuilded the kext cache using the command from the above link.

After adding the framebuffer patch to my config.plist i booted again.

But now i am having this kernel panic.

I am attaching the Image and my config.plist please have a look.

You can use the invalid ig-platform-id and provide PR files.
