Okay thanks. I am sorry to bother you so much, could you tell how do I do that . I am not able to view the primary drive where macos is installed under devices. Any guide so that I can follow it to do what you have advised. Thanks
To remove the kexts, simply move the kexts to Trash and empty the Trash.

If you're unable to find the system volume, try the steps below.

Finder>Preferences

Select Hard Disks and Connected Servers and the drive should appear on your Desktop.

Hello

I have removed all the kexts from kexts cache by using the following command: open /System/Library/Extensions

There is no change in displayed memory size.

What should I do next. Thanks

This is the new kextcahe:
kextcache -i/

kextcache -arch x86_64 -local-root -all-loaded -kernel /System/Library/Kernels/kernel -prelinked-kernel /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel -volume-root / /System/Library/Extensions /Library/Extensions /AppleInternal/Library/Extensions

Macs-iMac:~ mac$

I have retained VoodHDA kext as without that audio may not work.

Could you please help me with following:

1. Review my EFI folder and PLIST to see if there are any errors

2. As I am not able to change the video memory size through BIOS, I don't think I am able to meet the condition which some of the forums suggest for this chipset :BIOS DVMT-prealloc- 64mb. How can this be addressed.

I have a sense of hope emerging through your support, that I may be able to finally get this working.

Thanks

For Audio, AppleALC is the preferred method.
If there's no DVMT settings in BIOS, you can use framebuffer patching.

Remove VoodooHDA and attach the new PR files.

Hello

I have done a fresh install using the same open core usb installer as previous. I have not inserted any kexts.

I have changed the config.plist settings to include frame buffer patching.

I am still not able to attached IO.reg file. What format should I save it as so that I can attach it here. Thanks for the help

Here is kext cache:
kextcache: option requires an argument -- -i.

unrecognized option -i

usage: kextcache -prelinked-kernel <filename> [options] [--] [kext or directory]

kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel

kextcache [options] -prelinked-kernel

kextcache -invalidate <volume>

kextcache -update-volume <volume> [options]

kextcache -system-caches [options]

use kextcache -help for an explanation of each option

Macs-iMac:~ mac$ sudo kextcache -i/

The correct command is "sudo kextcache -i/" without the quotes.

To get a copy of IOReg, check the guide below.
