How to Add Background in OpenCore Boot Picker​

This guide describes how to add a background in OpenCore Boot Picker. To add a background in OpenCore Boot Picker, follow the steps below.

1. Enable OpenCore GUI
2. Download OpenCore Pkg.
3. Copy icnpack from OpenCore X.X.X RELEASE/Utilities to your Desktop
4. Convert the background image to the PNG format you want to use. To convert, you can use Preview Tool in macOS. Just open your image and export it as PNG.
5. Copy the PNG image to icnspack
6. Rename the first image as 1
7. Duplicate the same PNG image in the icnspack directory and rename the second image as 2
8. Open Terminal and type
Code:
cd Desktop/icnspack
and press enter key to move into icnspack directory.
9. Type
Code:
./cnspack Background.icns 1.png 2.png
and press enter key and this will generate a background image in the same directory.
10. Quit Terminal
11. Mount your ESP
12. Copy the Background.icns image to your ESP/EFI/OC/Resources/Image/Acidanthera/Syrah
13. Restart your System. If you don't see the background, reset NVRAM.
