macOS 11.3 and later had some USB changes. Refer the USB Mapping guide or roll back to 11.2.3
I deep dived into the DSDTs and SSDTs for both MacPro5,1 and MacPro6,1. It seems that in MP5,1 UHC and EHC are defined, but in MP6,1 There is only one EHC1 and one XHC1 devices defined. I have a USBMap and XhciPortLimit=false, but unplug and plug oh USB 1.1 devices won't work again until boot. I can try rolling back, but I need to figure a way to make it work.

Amazing that you've got Big Sur working on the T3500.

I'm typing this from mine running Mojave 10.14.6 using Clover.

What's the current status of your machine – is it ok for daily use?

Thanks. Mine latest fully stable is also Mojave 10.14.6 with Clover, but for Big Sur I have OC 0.7.1. The downsides with MP6,1 SMBios are non-working UHCI controllers I managed to run the usb 1.1 devices via USB 2.0 hub, because only EHCI controllers are working properly (even though with a proper USB map) and non-working restart option (the screen goes blank, but the PC is still running), however I only restart when sometimes a software install requires it and software update requires it.

In the end it's okay for daily use, because everything else works properly including Speed Step (generated C & P states using Clover on Mojave, then dumped the Clover generated SSDT for use in OC, however the OEM SSDT is dropped, because mine has only 2 states on BIOS rev. A17, but Clover's one has 3 states (1.60 GHz, 2.93 GHz, 3.06 GHz)).

Did you try to map the USB ports when the ports work?

Yes, but they didn't work again. This is why I use USB Hub as workaround for my mouse+keyboard and bluetooth dongle.

Still fine enough as a temporary solution.

Thanks for the detailed information.

Did you upgrade to Big Sur via Catalina or directly from Mojave?

@np44
Have you tried this? This supports UHCI Controllers mapping.

Glad to see some more folks with T3500s. Another user with T3500 and I have both been trying various different configs to get OpenCore Big Sur working. So far we have got working USB and all, but a stuttering issue that makes it so the computer freezes for half a second frequently and causing it to be unusable. Not to mention, the BIOS resets itself whenever shutting down or rebooting, though reboots hang obviously.

If there's anything we can do to help the development here and get the T3500 working, let us know! We are definitely keeping an eye out on this thread to see if there are any updates/successes. Thanks!
