Hey all,
So I have my old user account on a SSD with High Sierra running with Clover Bootloader that is impossible to recover its original hackint0sh state because I stupidly tried to become system Owner to files that I shouldn't have, and Nvidia Webdrivers immediately complained, and I was never able to log back in.
Bye-bye High Sierra, NVidia Webdrivers, and true Video hardware acceleration.
So, where do I go from here? I need to start over, while things have changed since I've dabbled into DDSTing.
I'm pretty self reliant and independent, not asking for any hand holding or spoonfeeding, just a good point in the correct direction to the correct guide and whatnot.
My hardware list is in my profile, but I can provide what info required, as best as I can, for context.
To be fair, would be interesting to see which newer version would function on my older, but vogue hardware.
Im planning on installing the new version of Mac OS first, ensuring stable boot, and getting things set up audio, video, usb, etc, going...
This time I am going to dd a perfect image, saving it elsewhere, for backup, before I import my user account.
I really, really hope that I can get my hardware acceleration back although Nvidia had not released a new web driver sense High Sierra; I've read that it might be possible to restore hardware acceleration without it, but I hope to receive more clarification on that as well.
PS, I hope I posted this thread in the correct section. I tried to choose the most generic, but applicable section I could, sense my laptop has an Intel CPU
I really do appreciate you reading my post, and any information you could offer.
