Apple has released the best candidate of macOS Catalina to beta testers, in a final push to eradicate launch bugs.
There are many new features and even a new screensaver in macOS Catalina and the final version will be released shortly after the GM is released.

macOS Catalina will be compatible with the following Macs:
  • 12-inch MacBook
  • MacBook Air, 2012 and later
  • MacBook Pro, 2012 and later
  • Mac mini, 2012 and later
  • iMac, 2012 and later
  • iMac Pro
  • Mac Pro, 2013 and later
