Hello everyone...!
Nice to meet you all here in EliteMacx86 community.
I've been using Hackintosh since MacOS X Lion maybe about 12 years ago, and now I'm still using the very same motherboards & CPUs, with some upgrades like graphic card & SSDs.
For now I use Windows 11 for my daily work for programming. I installed 2 SSDs in the system. I can switch Windows to macOS by enabling / disabling the drives in the BIOS so the OSes don't interfere each other. Hackintosh is just for my fun projects.
Here's my PC specs:
#1:
- Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3
- Intel Core i5-2500K (Sandy Bridge)
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Currently running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6
I know that Pascal graphic card can only be installed with High Sierra natively with Nvidia Web Driver. But after reading this forum, it can be installed with higher version of macOS. Haven't tried yet...
#2:
- Gigabyte Z77x-UD5H
- Intel Core i5-3570K (Ivy Bridge)
- AMD Radeon RX 6600
Currently running macOS Monterey 12.7
I know this is silly. The age of the mobo and the graphic card is about a decade difference. Recently I bought the RX 6600 just because the price of graphic card is going down, and I found a good deal.
I try to install macOS Sonoma in this system. The installation seems going well. No kernel panic on the first boot, but the screen just go black (no signal). Is this can be fixed??
#3:
- Gigabyte motherboard (I forget the model)
- Intel Core i3-6100 (Skylake)
- No discrete GPU
Hasn't been used for about 2 years. I forgot the which version of macOS installed in this system, maybe Big Sur...
I just have simple questions regarding my old PCs.
Which are max version of macOS can be installed to my PCs...?
Another question:
Next time if I buy a new PC, I think I'm gonna buy Mini PC. I like Beelink AMD Mini PC.
is there any recommendation of Beelink AMD that can be installed as a Hackintosh?
OK that's all
Thanks so much...
